SYNOPSIS - DOOMSDAY (GRAND SLAM) GAMBIT - Disillusioned extremists in Iran, North Korea and Russia, grow impatient waiting for their leaders to act decisively. Having watched the Ukraine debacle of Vladimir Putin rebound to weaken their CRINK axis members. This despite Hamas launching against Israel and Houthi attacks on the Red Sea. All that had the effect of waking the sleeping giant: NATO.

The Cold War emerged after World War II as an open yet restricted rivalry between the United States of America and the Soviet Union, along with their respective allies. It played out on political, economic, and propaganda fronts, with limited recourse to actual weapons. Essentially, it was a clash of two opposing ideologies: communism (represented by the Soviet Union and its allies) and capitalism (embraced by the U.S. and its Western allies). The conflict lasted from the 1940s until 1991, shaping global politics and international relations during that period.

In theory the Cold War ended in 1991 with the collapse of the Soviet Union. Unfortunately, although the people wanted complete change, KGB ethos and objectives were kept simmering with Vladimir Putin as the head of the FSB. And the CIA knowing of the conflict of interests.

As Russia continued with it's kleptocratic empirical expansion plans, another Cold War period began with the annexing of Crimea and invasion of Ukraine, where the USA is a member of NATO, and organization that is intended to prevent communist expansion from the former Soviet Union into Europe. Thus, the intentions of Russia as the Soviet Union wearing a different dress, to woo the US and Europe into a disarmed state while they gained strength from fossil fuel sales, revealed their petticoats. The Soviets want all the trappings of capitalism global trading, but authoritarian controls over their people, except their oligarchs. Who the reply on for political support.

KIM PHILBY - GUY BURGESS - DONALD MACLEAN

Harold Adrian Russell "Kim" Philby (1 January 1912 – 11 May 1988) was a British intelligence officer and a spy for the Soviet Union. In 1963, he was revealed to be a member of the Cambridge Five, a spy ring which had divulged British secrets to the Soviets during World War II and in the early stages of the Cold War. Of the five, Philby is believed to have been the most successful in providing secret information to the Soviets.

Born in British India, Philby was educated at Westminster School and Trinity College, Cambridge. He was recruited by Soviet intelligence in 1934. After leaving Cambridge, Philby worked as a journalist, covering the Spanish Civil War and the Battle of France. In 1940 he began working for the United Kingdom's Secret Intelligence Service (SIS or MI6). By the end of the Second World War he had become a high-ranking member. In 1949 Philby was appointed first secretary to the British Embassy in Washington and served as chief British liaison with American intelligence agencies. During his career as an intelligence officer, he passed large amounts of intelligence to the Soviet Union, including the Albanian Subversion, a scheme to overthrow the pro-Soviet government of Communist Albania.

Philby was suspected of tipping off two other spies under suspicion of Soviet espionage, Donald Maclean and Guy Burgess, both of whom subsequently fled to Moscow in May 1951. Under suspicion himself, Philby resigned from MI6 in July 1951 but was publicly exonerated by then-Foreign Secretary Harold Macmillan in 1955. He resumed his career as both a journalist and a spy for MI6 in Beirut, but was forced to defect to Moscow after finally being unmasked as a Soviet agent in 1963. He lived in Moscow until his death in 1988.

All of which demonstrates that in a corrupt United Kingdom, you cannot trust anyone high up the chain. Corruption flows from local councils, through members of parliament all the way up to prime ministers such as Boris Johnson. British police forces are just as corrupt as their KGB counterparts, conducting vendettas and agendas contrary to UK and Human Rights law. They rarely stoop to murder, except in very rare cases, one such case being James Ashley in 1998. When Sussex police shot an unarmed dissident in Hastings on false intelligence. Very much like the invasion of Iraq was based on bogus intelligence.

WORLD WAR THREE

World War III, World War 3, WWIII, WW3, or the Third World War are the names given to a hypothetical global conflict subsequent to World War I and World War II. The term has been in use since as early as 1941. Some apply it loosely to limited or more minor conflicts such as the Cold War or the war on terror. In contrast, others assume that such a conflict would surpass prior world wars in both scope and destructive impact. Possibly initiated by irrational members of the CRINKs. But more likely to be begun by extremists and terrorists.

Due to the development of nuclear weapons in the Manhattan Project, which were used in the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki near the end of World War II, and their subsequent acquisition and deployment by many countries afterward, the potential risk of a nuclear apocalypse causing inevitable widespread mass destruction of Earth's civilizations and life is a common theme in speculations about a third world war. Another primary concern is that biological warfare (COVID19) could cause mass casualties. It could happen intentionally or inadvertently, by an accidental release of a biological agent, the unexpected mutation of an agent, or its adaptation to other species after use. Large-scale apocalyptic events like these, caused by advanced technology used for destruction, could render most of Earth's surface uninhabitable.

Before the beginning of World War II in 1939, World War I (1914–1918) was believed to have been "the war to end all wars". It was popularly believed that never again could there possibly be a global conflict of such magnitude. During the interwar period, World War I was typically referred to simply as "The Great War". The outbreak of World War II disproved the hope that humanity might have "outgrown" the need for widespread global wars. Almost a continuation of World War One, all that WWI proved was that given the opportunity, typically from advances in technology, and with more wealth floating around (even though fictional paper currency) to make a throw of the dice possible, World War Three is inevitable. History reveals that it is not a case of "if" it is a case of "when."

With the advent of the Cold War in 1947 and the spread of nuclear weapons and technology to the Soviet Union, the possibility of a third global conflict increased. During the Cold War, the possibility of a third world war was anticipated and planned for by military and civil personnel in various countries. Scenarios ranged from conventional warfare to limited or total nuclear warfare. At the height of the Cold War, the doctrine of mutually assured destruction (MAD), which determined that an all-out nuclear confrontation would destroy all of the states involved in the conflict, developed. The potential for the absolute destruction of the human species may have contributed to both American and Soviet leaders avoiding such a scenario, though several near-misses, caused by faulty technology or human error, still occurred, underscoring the need for restraint.

The various global military conflicts that have occurred since the start of the 21st century, most recently the Syrian civil war since 2011, the Russian invasion of Ukraine since 2022, alongside recent rising tensions between the United States of America and China, have been perceived as potential flashpoints or triggers for the third world war to come. The conflict between Israel and Iran, adds to the political tinderbox, heating up the world, and China circling Taiwan, are event that could spark moments of irrationality or fear of being struck first. So the less able to defend might strike first to assure mutual destruction. That is one way of dealing with playground bullies.

History shows that war is a recurring feature of humanity. The potential for a devastating thermonuclear conflict, or holocaust, is a scary but real possibility. However, predicting when or by whom a first strike might occur is extremely difficult.

What is for sure, is that if there is not a serious threat, possibly a very near miss involving the destruction of the player's nations and their leaders, that World War Three is par for the course, just as a horse needs a cart and a cart needs a horse. Or, death and taxes. But, will it be A First Strike Decapitation, or a Second Strike defensive retaliation that wins?
